Artist based in Strasbourg and Brussels, Jérôme Erhart, aka Jôm, presents his first single Flatey, like an electronic and instrumental meditation on the high seas, released on June 22, 2022. Soft arpeggios played with violin, minimalist melodies on the synthesizer, and recordings of capsizing waves setting the beat, Jôm creates a bountiful sound journey between dream and naturalism. His organic approach to composition reveals a meticulous weaving of textures, loops, and altered materials and sounds, giving rise to percussive and enigmatic music. Moved by a trip he made four years ago to Flatey, a small Icelandic island rocked by the tides and weather changes with a synesthetic effect, Jôm shares with us this image as an allegory of inner movements and sensitive variations.
