Emily Carmen’s new track “1950s Housewife” is not literally about a housewife in the 50s, it is a metaphor for everyone wondering how their life would be if someone or something stayed. She wrote it for the show “Mad Men” and hopes to shine a light on artists with rare chronic illnesses or disabilities and how they use their talents to overcome obstacles.
Her music has been compared to a mix of Tracy Bonham, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Nirvana, Weezer and even Madonna and Stevie Nicks. Emily is going to be on our podcast soon and be on the lookout for her new music!
